Urban Design Discourse is a specialized platform for advancing theoretical, research-based, and applied knowledge in the field of urban design. Focusing on topics that elucidate the relationship between design and environmental quality, spatial justice, sustainability, and urban experience, the journal seeks to foster a dynamic and multidimensional discourse on contemporary urbanism. Our goal is not merely to critically evaluate theories, but to provide a ground for rethinking, localization, innovation, and multidisciplinary dialogue.

What this journal aims to offer:

• Providing the opportunity to publish emerging theories and contemporary critiques in urban design;
• Providing the opportunity to localize global theories within the urban conditions of Iran and other similar countries;
• Bridging theory and practice through the publication of case studies, design projects, and effective evaluations;
• Strengthening interdisciplinary scholarly dialogue (architecture, urban planning, geography, environment, sociology, etc.);
• Enhancing the level of urban design research in Iran and developing international impact.
