About Journal

Urban Design Discourse (UDD) is a scholarly journal published by Tarbiat Modares University and managed by the Department of Urban Design within the School of Urban Planning, in collaboration with the Iranian Society of Landscape Professionals. The journal focuses on advancing concepts and theories related to urban design and on critically examining the dominant discourses that shape this field. In fact, this journal serves as the only specialized platform for publishing scholarly work in the field of urban design in the country, thereby reducing the need for researchers in this discipline to seek publication in journals with related but distinct focuses. It is hoped that the publication of this journal will address the existing gap in this field.
